Mountain Bike Season Expected to Open May 16
Bromont, April 20, 2015 – Ski season has only just finished at Ski Bromont and preparations for mountain bike season are already well underway. If Mother Nature cooperates, the mountain bike trails will open on Saturday, May 16 on the Versant du Village and on Saturday, May 23 on the Versant du Lac.
New in 2015 : Enduro trails
In response to the latest trends in the world of biking, Ski Bromont is pleased to announce the addition of new Enduro trails to its existing circuit.
Starting this spring, fans of the sport will be able to enjoy the increasingly popular discipline of Enduro, a cross between downhill and cross-country biking. Season Enduro passes, including two lifts per day, are now on sale.
Le Versant du Lac now a must !
With its P5 parking lot, repair shop, ticket booth and Entracte restaurant, the Versant du Lac has always been a popular destination, but now with two new Enduro circuits it will become an even more important hub. Also new on the Versant du Village : Ski Bromont has added a terrace off the Main Chalet to serve its clients even better.
Major maintenance work on chairlift 4
For the entire mountain bike season, mechanical chairlift number 4, which is normally open only on weekends, will be closed. Every winter, this Versant du Village chairlift carries the greatest number of skiers and snowboarders in Quebec and, for this reason, important preventive checks are needed to ensure its proper functioning at all times.
Major maintenance will be done on the chairlift’s speed reducer, one of its main components weighing over 4 tons and containing many gears. This in-depth, long-term work will involve the detailed analysis of all components and, if necessary, their repair or replacement.
For the season, chairlift 3 on the Versant du Village will be open every day of the week and chairlift 5 on the Versant du Lac will be running during the week-ends.
