Equipment and clothing
-
Make sure you're properly dressed. Opt for comfort by choosing clothes that retain body heat and let you move easily. Think multi-layered, choosing fabrics that breathe (like polypropylene) and that allow moisture to pass through. Avoid jeans and cotton.
-
Don't forget to wear socks of wool or synthetic fibre, and a toque that covers the ears well. Remember that mittens, unlike gloves, keep your fingers together, retaining body heat better and keeping your hands warmer.
-
Although the wearing of helmets is not mandatory, it is highly recommended. So is the use of ski goggles.
-
It's important to choose equipment that suits YOU. Don't hesitate to have your equipment checked by our experienced repair shop staff.
-
Did you know that when you purchase an M2J season pass, you also have the option of renting your skiing or snowboarding equipment for as little as $60 for the entire season? *Under the terms of the M2J season pass.
-
Winter's coming! Now's the time to do an equipment tune-up. Also, we recommend regular maintenance during the season to ensure optimal performance. Either way, you can count on our experienced repair shop staff!
safety
-
To avoid unnecessary risks, make sure you stay on open and lit trails. Also, be sure to respect the low speed areas, which are clearly marked.
-
Make sure you choose trails where the level of difficulty matches your experience and ability.
-
For your own safety, as well as that of other skiers, move over to the side when you make a stop during a descent.
-
To learn about ski mountain safety rules, see the Code of Conduct and the website partagelapiste.com issued by the l'Association des stations de ski du Québec (ASSQ).
